DescriptionCustomer Reviews
Carignane originated in the Cariñena district of Spain has been embraced by vintners in France, Italy and California. This grape is valued for its deep purple color, firm tannins and bold flavors that run towards fruity and spicy. Alderbrook’s 2006 Carignane comes form an old vine vineyard growing in Dry Creek Valley, specifically at School House Creek Vineyard. We find the grape’s sturdy structure, deep color and briary fruit flavors harmonize to make a rustic charmer of a wine.
